Good luck on the name picking. For our second daughter we decided on the name Lily. We chose to give her the middle name "Susan" in honor of a family friend, but unfortunately found out later that this name comes from the Hebrew for Lily. Whoops.

@Tom: That's too funny! But Lily Susan is a beautiful name. The name we picked out early on was Madeline. In the mean time we thought it was getting a little trendy so we started looking for other names. Actually, we like the name Lily but we call our daughter Livi and didn't think we could do Lily and Livi.

@Dette: I contemplated having a voting contest for the name. My wife talked me out of it pretty quickly. But your vote it duly noted! I'll let my wife know...she likes Madeline the most since it was the name we picked out early on if we ever had another girl.

Like you, we had absolutely no problems coming up with our son's name. It was chosen before we were expecting. I can imagine it's much harder the second time around. Not that my two cents matter, but I like Madeline (or maybe Madelyn) Kate from your narrowed down list.

@Jason: Picking a name is much harder this time around! Your 2 cents do matter...I told my wife that Dette like Madeline Kate too and she said "That's the one I really like too." When I tell her that you like the name it just might be a done deal!

We have been trying to think of more girl names too. Just for fun (I'm not currently pregnant). Lorelei came pretty easily...and that one was hard to top. Basically every name I love...Steven hates. But we've decided we both like Aurora Madeline. I got it in writing too...just in case he wants to say he never agreed haha. :) Boys names though...we have a bunch we both agree in. Weird, huh?

So obviously...I am going for Madeline! Haha...
