Building Camelot: Moleskine Journal for My Daughter

That is such a great idea. I don't have children, but I would be really touched if I received something like this from my mother.

Anywho, I though I would just mention the fact that I use Moleskin journals as well. Even the paperback versions that are sold in a pack of three are fantastic because they fit in my purse and even have a pocket in the back to stuff things in. I recommend them to anyone.

I like to think that it's a good idea. It'll be something that she will have long after I am gone and hopefully provide her with some great memories.

The molsekine really is an awesome journal. I mean - who's to argue with Van Gogh, Picasso and Hemingway.

Now I'm wondering when I should let her know about the journal. Do I let her find out about it after I'm gone or, say...after she's married?

Oh I think you'll know when it's the right time to give it to her. Maybe document things until there is a pivotal moment in her life and then give it to her (say...High school graduation) then you can start another one after that. You'll never run out of memories.
