Building Camelot: Lilly Pulitzer Dresses Now At Your Local Costco

    Hi Tyler.

When I first read this blog post, I felt a sense of detachment. Now looking at it a second time, I know why. We had two children (we believe they were girls) that were lost during ectopic pregnancies.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy for you and what you are experiencing with your little girl. I'm just sad that my girls didn't make it here to be with us. I work for a clothing company, and whenever I see a cute little dress or top, I think of my girls and get sad. Then I think of my boys and thank the Universe for ALL of my children. I am so grateful.

    Peace,

    Joey

I have a bit of wistfulness as well concerning girl clothes. My two daughters are 15 and 12, and spent most of their growing-up at their mom's house after we divorced eight years ago. I missed out on a whole lot of time with them when they were little.

I'm happy for you that you have a great opportunity to see your little sweeties dressed up in their best for years to come. Enjoy it!

@Babbo: I really appreciate your comment...it reminds me of why it's great to be a father and a daddy blogger. Your boys are lucky to have such a great and thankful father.
@Tom: Some days I'm not sure what to think about having two girls...I try not to take it for granted and hope that I'll be around to see them grow up.

I'm excited that a Costco will finally be opening not too far from us later this year, and at the same time, I'm a little bewildered and lost when it comes to little girls fashion. Heck, I'm a lot bewildered when it comes to middle-aged mens fashion! My little one is only five months old, but when her clothes start becoming more than just spit and drool collectors, maybe this Lilly Pulitzer stuff will help me out.

@Kevin: Oh - I'm with you about the fashion. I leave that all up to the wife :-) If I were to dress my daughter everyone would know that I did it...but she is starting to *tell* us what she wants to wear and she's only interested in wearing dresses these days. I think she'd wear them to bed if she could!
