I LOVE aquariums. I am a total fish geek. In high school I had a dozen+ fish tanks at home and I volunteered as an aquarist intern at the New England Aquarium (ever hand feed a 400+ lb grouper?). To be a kid again and experience the awesomeness of going to the aquarium would be priceless. And yeah, sharks were kind of scary...

Kids just love the animals and we always try to get to them when they are feeding so they can see them in action when possible.

When I was a kid, the aquarium at the zoo was NOT the first place I wanted to go. Hooray for Disney for creating some turtle-fandom...I bet they sort of felt left out compared to the large mammals.

Gotta admit myself, that the Mere Cats and Warthogs suddenly were much more interesting to me after seeing Lion King.

@Jason: Thank you - That was Olivia's first trip. The aquarium in the Memphis zoo is basically a glorified fish shop.

Very nice photos. I didn't realize that Dallas had an aquarium. Nothing better for parents with small kids to pass the afternoon.

Our son loves the aquarium too. Luckily we have a couple in town so we can make frequent trips.
