I like the new design. The size and color scheme are very appealing (it's wider than my standard Wordpress theme).

I'm wondering if you can work a little more customization into the top of the blog. It seems a little ad heavy, only because there's not much Building Camelot personality aside from the logo. But it's nice and clean and it did load faster than the old...

I like your new logo and the overall design, very nice and clean. Only distracting thing was that when I first loaded the page some chick walked right in front of the text as part of an advertisement. Luckily she looked pretty good, but for some that might be a turn-off :-) Overall, nicely done.

Thank you all for your comments and insight about the new look. I will certainly take all of your points into consideration. Like every other theme, I'll be constantly tweaking parts of it over time. I hope to make it a site you and others like to come read and comment.

How did you succed in adding the Header Image ... what are the steps you took to reproduce that?

I wish Thesis it easy o simple to add or change custom image headers without having to tweak the code!

@Simply Mike: Thanks for stopping by. It's always great to hear from new people. I haven't thought about using an affiliate link...now that you mention it I'll give it some more thought.
@Kingsley Tagbo: Yea, I think it would be a great addition to Thesis if it were easier to add a header image. It was still relatively easy...I just followed Rick's instructions at How to: Clickable Header Images over at the forums. All I did after that was change the names to match the header that I uploaded and it worked perfectly.
@Carol: You might have some ad blocking plug-in running in your browser because it's just an ad block...for now. I'm always looking to make the site and theme better so it might change later today or next month! :-) Good to hear from you.

This is a nice clean design. It's always interesting to see the creativity of Thesis users. It's such a versatile theme. The few suggestions/questions I have are:
The font is really, really small. OK I know I can make the text bigger in your browser but it's an extra step. The tag line font isn't very easy to read either...
With a Thesis badge that big I'd be using the affiliate link ;)
I wondered why all your social networking links are only on your About page... rather than in the sidebar or home page. Just curious as to the thinking behind that.

@Nicky: Thanks for the comment - I'll try to answer your questions/points the best that I can.
1. You're the first one to mention that the text is too small. Under the Thesis settings, I have the font set to size 12 which I figure is a pretty good, standard font size. I'm not sure why the font seem so small to you...what resolution is your monitor?

The reason I ask is because on my laptop my resolution is 1920*1200 and @ work it's 1600*1200 and the font seems okay to me. I want it look good so I'd like to hear what you have to say. Is it small to anyone else?

2. I'll work on the tagline - after really looking @ it, it is hard to read. Thanks for the suggestion!

3. The main reason I put the social links on my about page is so my sidebar doesn't get too cluttered up. I put a lot of time and energy into Twitter (@buildingcamelot) and I have a link for that @ the very top of the page.

I would like to add a few social links in my sidebar, but I haven't found a good, clean way to do so. As soon as I do, I'll make sure and add them so folks can stalk me online.

Hi Tyler my monitor res is 1280 x 800, normal fonts. I showed your site to my husband to see what he thought and he did think it was a tad small however it fits in with the design of your site. And now I am looking at it again, my eye has adjusted to it so it isn't a problem. I was just thinking of older people who often complain of small fonts, however as my hubs rightly said they usually customize their settings anyway.
Harry (my hubs) mentioned you look up a font called Viking for your tag line. It matches your Celtic cross nicely ;)

I can see why you wouldn't want to clutter up the nice clean side bar... some sidebars are simply over run with bookmarking stuff.I just thought if people want to stumble or bookmark any of your posts, they will find it harder to do so. Have you considered the Share This or "Subscribe This?" plugins - they are very tidy. Just a thought. I have both on my blog. Anyway thanks for responding to me... good work on the design ;)

I have been looking at the Thesis theme on and off, I like your implementation. You mentioned switching from a magazine theme to something simpler - I think that is good advice. I would need more category or tags though for navigation, I assume you can add these in Thesis?

@Nicky Jameson: Great suggestion on the font - I've already downloaded it and will begin tweaking the header. You bring up a good point on the font size and it's definitely something that I will look into.
Yes, I do want to implement some sort of share-this plugin on each post page. I want to be able and place it where it only shows up on post pages. I'm using the OpenHook plugin and can't figure out where to put the code. As soon as I do, I'll be sure to add those.

@Andy: I haven't looked much into the category/tags for navigation. I'm sure you can but I can't help you there. I appreciate the comment - it's always good to hear from folks.
@Kingsley: For me, it was just a matter of time. Using a more "standard" theme allows me to finish my posts sooner because I'm not worried about creating thumbnails or adjusting "featured" posts. Plus, if your site is not full of great content, I think a mag theme can be overwhelming and too cramped. I want this site to feel more personal and mag themes always seem more business/less personal related.

I've been researching a lot of different themes and Thesis and Flex Theme keep coming up as the most flexible options. There are pros and cons to each, but what I really love about Thesis is its simplicity and the support forums. My current theme is too busy... and the support forums will probably seal the deal for me because I'm just not very proficient at coding! Thanks for the great review.

@Relax: Thanks for dropping by. All I did was follow the directions on the "How to Add Custom Backgrounds" page of the DIY Thesis site. It's pretty straight forward but let me know if you need any help.
@Patrick: The support community has been a huge help and that had to end up being the most weighted factor here. I didn't want to dump ~$90 on a theme and then be left in the dark . I would certainly say "buy Thesis" and I hope you do. Great to hear from you.
